This increase in citations has resulted in a number of ASME journals receiving improved JIF scores, which reflect how ASME journals are ranked relative to others in their fields or disciplines.Applied Mechanics Reviews is the top-ranked ASME journal with a JIF score of 7.848 in 2017. Several other journals experienced a greater than 30 percent improvement in their JIF from 2016 to 2017. These journals include the Journal of Turbomachinery (2.453), J ournal of Electronic Packaging (2.210), Journal of Energy Resources Technology (2.197), Journal of Fluids Engineering (1.915), and Journal of Pressure Vessel Technology (1.182).Publishing the best research and facilitating the widest dissemination for authors are the guiding principles of our publishing mission and philosophy and the improved JIFs are one measure of our success, said Colin McAteer, manager, ASME Journals. For a full listing of the 2017 JIFs for journals, visit the Journals home page on The ASME Digital Collection at https//asmedigitalcollection.asme.org/journals.aspx and review individual titles under the Journals tab.For more information about the ASME Journal Program, contact Colin McAteer at McAteerCasme.org.
